The Bach Remedy system was brought to us through Dr Edward Bach. It is primarily as a self-help system. His vision saw this system as the medicine of the future. He hoped we would reach into our medicine cabinet and choose a remedy for our emotions as easily as we would reach for a band aid. If feeling frustrated we would reach for Impatiens. If over concerned for a loved one we would take Red Chestnut and so uplift our mindset as we go through the day.
The system consists of 38 remedies and it is believed that in combination they can address any emotional situation we find ourselves experiencing. I personally made great headway once the remedies were introduced to my life tools kit and took them almost daily over a few years. While I no longer need them on such a regular basis, they are still my "Go To" favourite to stay in the best frame of mind.
Bach Flower Therapy
Dr Bach advised if the remedies are taken as they should be the day would come where all 38 remedies had been taken. He was referring to the fact that the remedies cover a wide range of emotional states we all go through rather than stating all the remedies had to be taken. With this in mind, don’t shy away from any of the remedy interpretations. These are based on what the particular remedy is most known for but emotional states have various degrees. Let me give you an example.
The keywords for the remedy Holly are ENVIOUS, JEALOUS, FEELINGS OF HATRED. I took it for anger and I remember feeling shocked the first time I accepted I needed Holly. I laughed at a later date when I realised I needed it again. On the third occasion I reflected and wondered WHY I needed Holly. The remedies were truly a companion helping me find my way back to myself at a pace that was right for me.
You Attract What you Feel
The Law of Attraction teaches we draw situations to us depending on what we are feeling within. All the more reason to be mindful of the vibration you emit. Bach remedies are a gentle healing system that can assist you in being in charge of your emotions no matter what you find yourself dealing with. While primarily a self-help system of healing, there may be times when we need a little more help. Consultations with a practitioner may assist at such times.
It’s helpful to know the remedies are chosen on how we feel emotionally rather than physical symptoms. How you are feeling in the here and now and not how you felt some weeks ago. From there a consultation looks at what you would like the remedies to help you with and personalised treatment bottles are made due to this. I find it helpful to offer two treatment bottles as the remedies are subtle and more chronic feelings may take time to balance. Frequency of dosage is also helpful.
It is my hope in the coming months to be able to offer a short course where people can learn how to use the remedies for themselves. Consultations are by arrangement meantime.
